Men's Medical Weight Loss Center
Aim for a Permanent Way to Lose Weight
The goal of Men’s Medical Weight Loss is to help men achieve optimum weight loss. Men differ from women in several key aspects. They respond differently to diets, especially to fasting techniques. In addition, optimal hormonal levels also differ quite substantially in men compared to women. At our clinic we work exclusively with men focusing on long-term and safe weight loss strategies.

Studies indicate that only 5% of patients succeed in keeping weight off without a strategic plan.
Our 4 Pronged Approach to Weight Loss:
PHASE 1
Lifestyle Optimization
We use a variety of diets that best suit our patient’s unique palate preference. We also use intermittent fasting as a tool with diet changes. In addition, all other aspects that influence weight management, such as sleep quality, exercise, stress, are also addressed
PHASE 2
External Influences
External factors that can adversely create weight problems are identified. Various medications used to treat hypertension, pain, depression, anxiety, sleep can slow metabolism leading to weight gain. Often, neither you nor your family doctor are aware of these side effects. We review your medications list and offer alternatives if appropriate.
PHASE 3
Weight Loss Medications
Once we achieve the maximal weight loss through lifestyle optimization and correcting external influences, further weight loss through medications can then be used if appropriate. An additional 5% to 20% weight loss can be achieved through medications.
PHASE 4
Hormonal Analysis
Often, obesity can create or result in low testosterone. Sometimes, lifestyle changes can help but in some cases more is needed. We work with our patients to help them raise their testosterone either through natural methods or with prescription testosterone therapy. In many cases, subsequent testosterone optimization can result in further weight loss and body composition improvement.
A Long-Term Solution
Weight loss is a long-term process that requires a durable strategy. For many men, losing weight is not hard but keeping it off is difficult. By developing a plan that corrects metabolism and allows it to function properly, we aim to achieve long term weight loss in our patients.
Most Diets Don't Work
Most weight loss programs fail in keeping weight off for many reasons. In many cases, people get tired of counting calories, they may feel deprived from eliminating entire food groups, or they can’t stay consistent with an exercise routine. Most importantly, however, weight loss plans make patients feel more tired and hungry, forcing them to return to their previous eating patterns. In such cases, the underlying metabolic problems were not corrected.
Determine Your Best Weight
A good weight for a person would be one that you can maintain for life and one that would best promote health and prevent chronic disease. We suggest food plans that are practical, sustainable in the long run, and best match your underlying physiology.
Weight Loss Solutions Specifically for Men
Weight loss strategies for men and women can share many similarities. There are some differences, however, such as in the area of hormonal analysis and causes. At Men’s Medical Weight Loss Center, we study where these differences may influence weight loss efforts and apply best practices with our patients.
